I remember part of that period. Linda was born in Minneapolis not long
after she had her breast removed and I remember how painful the
stretching exercises were for her. We were back in Fredericton for the
next year and did not realize how sick Dad was. I wrote and called and
asked if I should come. His reply was always no. He said she was too
sick to recognize me and he also said she had lost her faith. I'm not
sure how this information fit events but it was obviously said with
great sorrow. This was a time when they both needed it. Who was looking
after you guys during that period? Betty
