We started up the 2 mi. Lazy Mountain Trail but Barb turned back about 1/3 of the way up after I pointed out the approaching rain. I continued up to perhaps half way, taking a few pictures, but turned back when it began to sprinkle. I hoped the rain would just settle the dust, but it increased to a steady light rain and soon the dirt trail was getting slippery. I made it down a good distance with only minor slips, but then I had to catch myself with my hands in the mud, then 3 more slips gave my jeans a muddy bottom and mud on each knee. I broke to proper length 1st one stick and then another as a walking stick to help on the steep slippery trail, and made it down, soaked. Barb was waiting in the last car in the parking lot. I wiped my butt in the grass, sat on my sweatshirft to keep Casey's Blazer from getting dirty, and drove back to Casey and Tim's house where a hot shower and a load of laundry were in order.
